VMware celebrated their leading partners this month at an awards dinner during the Middle East Partner Summit hosted in the Atlantis, Dubai. Throughout the evening, 10 different awards were handed out to celebrate the successes of VMware’s top partners over the last 12 months. These included recognising companies and individuals, including Distributor of the Year and Emerging Technology Partner of the year.

With a legacy of over 32 years, Ingram Micro has been one the largest and leading value added distributors in the Middle East, and has been instrumental in developing and executing a Value Added Distributor (VAD)model for VMware in the region. This award recognises their contribution in scaling VMware’s business in the Middle East to new heights.
Distribution Champion of the Year
Sayantan Dev, Redington
Dev is a business leader who has demonstrated an outstanding ability to scale VMware’s business after only a short period since the start of the partnership. This award recognises his credibility in taking ownership of driving VMware’s business across the region with an excellence in streamlining business operations.
Specialized Partner of the Year – Technology Competency
Saudi Business Machines
Saudi Business Machines is recognized for their outstanding technical capabilities and achieving the highest number of competencies across the region. They are consistent in always being the first across MENA to achieve any new emerging competency launched by VMware.

Gulf Business Machines is rewarded for their outstanding and consistent performance to grow VMware’s General Business by working closely with their wide customer breadth, positioning VMware for maximum market coverage.

MDS Computers is recognized for their knowledge and expertise in VMware’s non-core technologies. They have built up strong expertise and investment in certifying their engineers as well as building their in-house invent centre to demonstrate emerging VMware technologies.
